First Windows Phone Apps (5 Different Apps)

After becoming well acquainted with the C++ programming language at university I was eager to being creating applications which could be used in the real world and I could publish. I took it upon my self to teach myself everything I needed to know about the Windows Phone OS, C# and XNA to make it possible. Below are a list of the first 5 applications I have created for Windows Phone and are all currently live in the marketplace.

To date, the applications below have accumulated over 10,000 downloads.

True or False presents you with either a genuine fact or complete fiction. Your job is to decide which it is!

Your guaranteed to learn something new and have fun at the same time. With hundreds of facts and fiction and more on the way, True or False will keep you entertained for hours.

Enjoy the awesome facts, subtle fiction & fantastic graphics.

True or False is a great example of my use of Photoshop skills within mobile games to create a fun and quirky environment, it also challanged me in creating a reliable and efficient database which can easily be handled by the app.

‘Sleep Calculator’

“This app will stop you from waking up tired and groggy in the morning by calculating sleep cycles!

As you sleep, your body goes through different stages of the sleeping process. These stages are known as cycles. In humans, each sleep cycle lasts around 90 minutes on average.

Waking up in the middle of one of these cycles will leave you feeling grumpy and tired. It is therefore important to fall asleep and wake up at the correct time.

By using this app you can calculate either when you should go to bed or when you need to wake up!

Update: Added how many hours each cycle equates to.”

Sleep Calculator was the first application I submitted to the Windows Phone store, it is the application that taught me all the fundamentals of the Windows Phone OS, Silverlight and C# programming so it was a good basis for future applications.
